Club Champion billboard is up…

A while back I did a billboard design for Club Champion Gymnastics in Monrovia, CA. Even though I’ve done a fair amount of large-format designing in the past, this was my first billboard. Their goal was to bring awareness to the community along with helping people locate the facility, which is somewhat hidden from the street. So, I just kept it clean and simple. I incorporated their icon and colors, and combined them with a new typeface design. The photo was shot specifically for the billboard. We wanted to be sure to feature their core clientele. Made sure the directions were clear and visible without being too intrusive to the design… and that’s it. Nothing too fancy – simple and effective.

My most recent, ongoing project has been re-designing the InkFx.com website. We wanted to make it more current and functional and also add a store feature to capitalize on the popularity of their company t-shirts. I’m incorporating more of their graphics into the design so visitors and customers get a better perception of their style and quality. InkFx has worked hard to maintain standards above others and define a style of their own. I want the new site to do a better job of reflecting this. Most of the redesign will focus on aesthetics but we’ll also be addressing the site’s functionality. We want it to convey more information as well as making it more user friendly. This will be a continual side project that I hope to complete in the coming months. I’ll keep you posted as things progress.
